Mindset post :D
So I'm a thinker. I literally think about everything and write to do lists galore so sometimes I forget to just chill.
I had a day off yesterday and it was a real welcome break after coming back from Ibiza, reshoots in Switzerland and our business endeavour kicking off. I'm also currently sorting meetings for my upcoming New York trip (SO excited), and prepping for a few auditions coming up- so much is happening and it's so awesome!
So anyway I had planned to do so much with my day- emailing, blogging (oops...), networking etc and make the most of this day.
I started off making a gluten free coffee cake for breakfast... just because why not?!
Then got my daily meditation done and applied for a few auditions, and did a few bits for the business. Then I decided to make dinner for my family.
So I got into the swing of things, made a killer dessert (From Chocolate covered Katies' blog linked HERE)- chocolate cookie dough brownies (Which can I add were INCREDIBLE) and midway through cooking I linked up my phone to my speakers and started having a good old jam.
Instead of thinking about the other things on my list, I danced.... like an idiot... then and there chocolate spoon in hand, brownies half made and I laughed out loud at myself.
I sang, and cooked and danced and got so carried away in that moment I loved it!
Dinner got made, everyone liked it, dessert went down a treat and I got my emails done and my to do list with no stressing and no time pressure.
My big anecdote is trying to make the point that I needed to let my hair down, take some me time and blow off some steam and I was so much more productive because I slowed down and enjoyed my day!
So my lovely people I challenge you to do something for you- not something that is on a to do list somewhere, just go do something random and off course from your day plan. Go for a walk, sing your heart out, just sit, bake, just break your routine and enjoy yourself- after all, isn't that the whole point?
